About digital emunction

digital emunction is an online publication dedicated to the idiosyncratic and occasional enthusiasms (and sometimes complaints) of its contributors. Literature and politics provide frequent subjects of attention, but we range widely.

Robert P. Baird, the site’s editor, founded digital emunction as a personal website in late 2006 and redesigned it two years later to accommodate a number of people whose writing he wished he could read more of. He borrowed a favorite phrase of Samuel Beckett’s for the title, which, at the time (and still sometimes today) described pretty well how he felt about the time he spent on the internet.

A list of current contributors to digital emunction may be found in the masthead in the center column or by clicking “Authors” in the header on any page. Follow the links in the masthead to find out more about us.

We welcome readers to contact us with tips, suggestions, corrections, or rants at rpb@digitalemunction.com.
