Impenetrable Headline of the Day

demetrios - photo by Damon Winters

New York Times, page B1 (article by Carol Vogel; photo by Damon Winters):

“Mummy’s Log: Visited Scan God in Land of the Dead.”

My stab at a Rosetta Stone:

Mummy = Demetrios, a 2,000-year-old Egyptian mummy owned by the Brooklyn Museum
Log = a record or journal
Visited = ???
Scan = a 64-slice CT scan performed on Demetrios
God = a reference to Demetrios’s status in…
Land of the Dead = …the afterlife, one assumes (though neither of these last two are explained in the article).

Or is the bit that follows the colon supposed to be the log entry? If that’s the case then the key should read:

Scan God: the CT scanner
Land of the Dead: the land of the living

Any help?
